Please join us for this special presentation: Autism Understanding and Awareness
National Autism Understanding and Awareness Tour
with Aaron Likens, author of Finding Kansas
Wednesday, May 9, 2012
Faith Lutheran Church and School 3925 E. Fifth Street Tucson, AZ 85711
Aaron Likens, an accomplished public speaker, published author, avid blogger and remarkable individual, was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome – a high-functioning form of autism – at age 20.
Now 29, Aaron has found an opportunity to share with the world how the Autism Spectrum Disorder mind works through his book, Finding Kansas: Living and Decoding Asperger’s Syndrome, and through his position as an Autism Ambassador and Community Education Specialist for TouchPoint Autism Services (touchpointautism.org).
Having been diagnosed later in life, Aaron is committed to advocating for early intervention services, and to helping members of the community better understand autism – how it feels, how individuals face unique issues and challenges, and how to interact with someone on the autism spectrum.
Join us to hear Aaron on his national tour to promote Autism Understanding and Awareness. Be prepared for an evening of laughter, tears and hope. Books will be available at the event. Free and open to the public!
