This workshop for infant-family professionals, early childhood consultants, teachers, supervisors, and clinicians will discuss co-parenting and promoting positive father involvement in both married and single parent families.  Specific areas that will be covered include the mother’s role in supporting or thwarting father involvement and the impact co-parenting difficulties and lack of father involvement have on infant development and child outcome. Suggestions for promoting harmonious family functioning that will support positive child development will be offered. This workshop will address competencies required for ITMHCA Endorsement for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship Focused Practice Promoting Infant Mental Health at Levels 2, 3, and 4.  The cost is $25 for ITMHCA members; $35 for non-members.
