Fall C.O.R.E. Training Dates – Basic Training for Social Service Professionals

Our Family’s C.O.R.E. training (Comprehensive Orientation & Required Education) is a 27-hour course for all levels of workers in the behavioral health and social service fields. It covers social issues such as homelessness, addiction, domestic abuse, child/elder abuse and LGBT awareness.

It also includes training in communications skills, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, ethics, boundaries, confidentiality, HIPAA, suicide assessment/intervention and risk management.

The curriculum is appropriate for employees working in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. It may be taken in its entirety, or you may choose the topics you need. The next C.O.R.E. trainings will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. September 19, 26 and October 3 and 10, at Our Family’s offices at 3830 E. Bellevue Street.
