Do you know someone who is interested in being a voice for young kids in your community? If so, we need your help in recruiting them to serve as a volunteer on your local First Things First Regional Partnership Council!
Serving on a regional council is a unique, high-level leadership opportunity. Our volunteer regional council members play an integral role in determining which early education, health and family support programs FTF funds in their communities.
There are more than 150 regional council seats open across the state. The First Things First Board will make appointments to the regional councils at their June 2014 meeting. Each appointment is for a four-year term and application is open to all eligible applicants. Regional council members must either live or work in the region they wish to represent. First review of applications begins March 17.
I am sure there are many individuals within your organization, or among your constituents, who would be ideal candidates. Please feel free to forward this information, and ask those interested to visit our website (www.azftf.gov/serve) to learn more or to fill out an application.
Thank you in advance for helping us find the most knowledgeable, passionate people to represent young kids in our communities. We value your time and hope that you will support our efforts to reach a diverse, well-qualified and interested group of people with this opportunity to lead the work of First Things First.
