The United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona is currently hiring a Healthcare Access Program Manager.
Job Summary: The Healthcare Access Program Manager is a full-time, grant-funded, exempt position with primary responsibility for outreach, education and enrollment to decrease the number of uninsured Pima County residents. This position will provide education on health care coverage options (AHCCCS and the Marketplace) to working families with children and enroll eligible individuals and families into the healthcare option that best fits their needs. The position will also help oversee the healthcare access aspect of the CA$H (Creating Assets, Savings and Health) Program. The position requires verbal and written bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, flexibility and creativity, independent judgment, and ability to assume significant responsibility with minimal supervision.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- High School diploma and no less than four years’ work experience in human services or healthcare required. Associates degree in human services or healthcare and four years’ experience with public benefit eligibility determination and enrollment preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicaid (AHCCCS) and the Affordable Care Act preferably as a Navigator or Certified Application Counselor preferred.
- Identify community venues to conduct outreach in coordination with community partners, UWTSA Resource Development and Community Development Departments and conduct presentations.
- Remain current on all aspects of ACA and AHCCCS requirements and maintain files of resources and guidance.
