Job Opening: Volunteer Center Manager

United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona has a current job opening in the Community Development department for a Volunteer Center Manager.

Job Summary: 
The Volunteer Center is a program to engage individuals and families in meaningful, quality volunteer roles that make a measurable difference in the quality of life for people in our community. Under the direction  of the Volunteer  Center  Director, the  Manager will work on all aspects of the Volunteer Center to achieve UWTSA mission and goals, including: volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition; event development with businesses and other organizations; resource development; marketing; as well as general community outreach. The Manager  will  connect  volunteers  to  opportunities  with community partner agencies, as well  as to United Way volunteer  program  including,  but not limited to, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, Prosperity  Initiative, Economic Security Initiative and Days of Caring.

This is a full-time, exempt, professional position for a motivated, entrepreneurial individual with a high level of initiative and excellent communication and organizational skills. With an office in Tucson, this position requires extensive travel throughout Pima County.
