Online Training Opportunities – Training on Your Schedule

In the past Strong Families AZ has highlighted Ounce of Prevention, a national resource focused on quality early childhood experiences. Ounce of Prevention is now offering Achieve OnDemand™, a set of self-paced, online courses that cover multiple topics critical to home visitors. Each training course takes 2-3 hours to complete and can be stopped and started at your convenience.

Trainings include:

  • Basics of Home Visiting
  • The Impact of Trauma in Home Visiting
  • Foundations of Infant Mental Health Practice in Home Visiting
  • Domestic Violence in Home Visiting
  • Supervising Home Visitors
  • Challenges in Home Visiting: Substance Abuse
  • The Impact of Trauma in Supervising
Now, all of the Achieve OnDemand™ self-paced courses are accessible through the Strong Families AZ Home Visitor Portal, under the Professional Development tab, Partner-Provided and Local Professional Development Opportunities. They are also listed on the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry.
You can also access a variety of FREE online courses offered through Strong Families AZ, via the Home Visitor Portal, under the Professional Development tab. Courses include, but are not limited to:

  • Baby Behavior
  • Foundations of Infant Mental Health Practice in Home Visiting
  • Basic Nutrition
  • Prenatal Nutrition
  • Child Nutrition
  • Participant-Centered Services
