New Conference Features in 2016

As home visitors, you know how much easier it is for you to master knowledge and skills when you are part of the learning process. At this year’s Strong Families AZ Home Visiting Conference, you will notice we have incorporated several new features to make the conference more interactive – and fun!
Specifically we will be using the 2Shoes App with some of the following features:
  • Question and Answer: During keynotes, you will be able to submit questions using the 2Shoes App on your smartphone or tablet and monitor questions being submitted. If someone submits a question on the same issue, you can just “vote” for that question. How many votes a question receives helps guide the moderator. This also allows for conference participants to submit questions anonymously.
  • Polling: Keynote speakers can poll the audience as they present, with results immediately visible on screens in the meeting space.
  • Real-Time Evaluation: You will be able to evaluate each of the workshops and keynotes you attend in real time. To encourage participation, we will be giving out door prizes throughout the day from the pool of conference participants who submit evaluations through the 2Shoes App.
  • Survey: We will be asking you about the type of professional development you would like to see in the future. By completing the survey portion of the 2Shoes App, you will be helping us develop a system that meets your needs.
Still Time to Submit Workshop Proposals
Visit the Strong Families AZ Conference homepage to submit a workshop proposal for this year’s event.
And make sure you Save the Date – September 20-21, 2016 – and start putting the pieces in place to join us in Glendale. You can even reserve your hotel room now to ensure availability.
Continue to visit the Conference homepage often for updates. See you in September!
