New Training Resource
The Western Region Public Health Training Center is an excellent resource for home visitor training here in Arizona. The center provides a variety of self-paced, online courses and webinars as well as information about partner-training opportunities.
It is funded by the federal Health Resources & Services Administration to support the public health workforce in states including Arizona, California, Nevada, Hawaii and US-Associated Pacific Islands. The center is “a consortium of public health professionals that have a mission to develop, provide and monitor need-based trainings for current and future community health workers to strengthen their public health competencies”.
To take advantage of these, or any other of the Center’s training opportunities, you only need to register at the Western Region Public Health Training Centerand create an online account to get started.
And remember, the Home Visitor Portal is always the fastest way to identify training specific to home visitors. You can find a link to the Center under theResources tab.
Make sure you visit the Home Visitor Portal on the Strong Families AZ website. Register to have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, resources and more.
