Infant Mental Health Training

Strong Families AZ – in collaboration with the Infant/Toddler Mental Health Coalition of Arizona – is providing free Infant Mental Health training for home visitors throughout the summer. Courses will include information about attachment, self-regulation, emotional development, stress and trauma as well as reflective practice.
The Introductory course is specially designed for home visitors, early interventionists, developmental specialists and others working with families with very young children. It addresses secure attachment, support for school readiness and reduction of child maltreatment.
The Advanced course is specially designed for supervisors and requires attendance at an introductory class as a prerequisite. Topics for this course include reflective practice, reflective supervision/consultation and issues in staff and program retention.
Registration is now open for the June 3rd Introduction to Infant Mental Health course in Flagstaff.
